Wappingers Falls, NY - Sunday - Car Show to benefit the Wappingers Falls Police Department K-9 unit at Messier Park on Main St, across from the Police Department. Presented by the Hudson Valley Emergency Outfitters, this K-9 unit has helped us establish our reputation as a business, and helped us grow tremendously. Unfortunately, the K-9 unit does not receive much funding from Village, and receives no funding from the state because they are a part-time department. After just getting a new/used vehicle and having to outfit it with equipment, even after it was done for bare minimum cost, the budget has been pretty much depleted. This unit serves the Village of Wappingers Falls, as well as mutual aid to the surrounding communities to provide the valuable resource of a K-9 trained in narcotics detection, and criminal searches.
We are also looking for volunteers to help us out with registering cars, judging, setup and breakdown, and a few other areas where we need assistance.
Registration $20.00 includes free admission for the driver and one passenger. Spectators $3.00, children under 12 free. Vendors are welcome, for a $40,00. There will be a 50/50 raffle, and door prizes.
