Florida - 9th Annual Model T Ford Winter Tour. Lafayette, LA - The Model T Ford Club of Tulsa will be hosting the 8th Annual Jones’ Tour in Lafayette, Louisiana, The Louisiana Bayou Tour 2008. You will travel to Crowley, Louisiana to the Ford Motor Company building of 1921. Model Ts were assembled here then sent to the car dealers in the area. Visit the Grand Opera House of the South (1901). Visit Kelly’s Landing, tour the Tabasco plant, a driving tour through Jungle Gardens, then to the Rip Van Winkle Gardens and tour the Jefferson home. You will visit the Acadian Cultural Center, and Vermilionville a Cajun/Creole Heritage & Folk Life Park. We will go by tour bus to New Orleans French Quarter for a day. Visit Henderson, Louisiana for a swamp tour through the Atchafalaya Basin Swamp and visit St. Martinville and tour the Petit Paris Museum, view the Evangeline Oak, tour the St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, the Acadian Memorial and the Evangeline Monument.
