OS X Settings for a Roadrunner Account

- Go to System Preferences > Network
- Choose Built-In-Ethernet (next to show
- Under the TCP/IP tab Configure: Using DHCP
- That should be it.

Mail.app Settings for a Roadrunner Account
|
|
|
Open Mail and go to >Mail > Preferences
Click on Accounts and choose Add Account
|

Account Type is POP |
| 2. |
Description is whatever you want (ex. work, home, your name, etc.) |
| 3. |
Email address will be name@stny.rr.com (they will tell you) |
| 4. |
Full Name is how your email will be address with your real name. |
| 5. |
Incoming Mail Server is pop-server.stny.rr.com (be very careful with spelling) |
| 6. |
User name will be the first part of the email address they gave you in #3 above |
| 7. |
Password (they will give you one, then ask you to change it. Put the changed one in here) |
| 8. |
Outgoing Mail Server is smtp-server.stny.rr.com |

Under Advanced Mail.app defaults to never remove copies from server. Eventually your RR account will become full. I have mine set to Remove right away. So when I pull my email it automatically deletes it from the server. |

That should be it.
There are some other settings you can tweak but this will get you going.
